How It Works

Getting your discs restored couldn't be easier — just four steps from drop-off to playing again.

Bring or Post Discs

Drop your discs into the shop at 130 Montague Street or send them by tracked post. There's no need to book for small batches.

2

We Inspect & Quote

We check the condition of each disc, advise what's recoverable and confirm the per-disc price before any work begins.

3

Clean & Resurface

Your discs are cleaned and resurfaced on our professional machine, then test-read to confirm they play correctly.

Collect or Receive

Small batches are often ready while you wait. Larger jobs are collected in store or posted back to you tracked.

Common questions

Disc Cleaning FAQ

Can you fix a disc that won't play at all?
Often, yes. If the damage is on the surface (the clear playing side) we can usually resurface it back to working order. If the data layer itself is cracked or the label side is damaged, it may not be recoverable — we'll always inspect and tell you before charging.
How does disc resurfacing work?
We use a professional resurfacing machine that gently grinds away a microscopic layer of the disc's clear plastic, removing scratches, then polishes it to a smooth, readable finish. The data underneath is untouched.
Will resurfacing damage my disc?
No. The data on a disc sits well below the surface plastic we work on. Discs can be resurfaced several times safely. We only ever remove the minimum needed to clear the scratches.
How long does it take?
Small batches are often done while you wait or same day. Larger collections usually take 1–3 working days depending on volume — we'll confirm a timeline when you drop off.
What does it cost?
It's a simple flat £2 per disc — whatever the format and however many you bring. Inspection is always free, and if we can't restore a disc you won't be charged for it.
Do you clean music CDs and films too?
Absolutely. We resurface music CDs, DVDs, Blu-rays and 4K UHD discs as well as game discs of every format. If it's an optical disc, bring it in.
Do you offer postal disc cleaning?
Yes. Package your discs securely, include your name and contact details, and send them by tracked delivery to 130 Montague Street, Worthing, BN11 3HG. Get in touch first so we can log your job.
What if cleaning is all it needs?
Sometimes a disc just needs a proper clean rather than full resurfacing. We always check first and only do (and charge for) what's actually needed.
